Alongside her vlogs, she dabbled in small businesses, outsourcing tasks to folks on Fiverr. But she wasn't entirely sure if her business needs were being met. So, she took matters into her own hands.

Determined to understand the ins and outs of her business and take charge of her destiny, she invested in herself. She became a certified digital marketer.

And guess what? That's when things started to click. She cracked the code to making serious bank through digital products, turning her online hustle into a cash cow.🔥

How did you get started on your journey? What led you to be a successful mompreneur?

I started my online business right after I took a 15-month Digital Marketing course in 2022 and received a certification. It was a pretty extensive course. We were able to learn all facets of digital marketing, from email marketing, search engine marketing, SEO, to the whole digital strategy.🎓

I spent over $10,000, almost $15,000 for this course. I really wanted to crack the code with digital marketing so I jumped all in.

When I took that course, I was just amazed at all the information you can use to establish a brand. I was highly fascinated by all the opportunities in the digital realm and wanted to coach, inspire, and motivate other parents to learn digital marketing skills and start making money online, either for their brand or working or partnering with another company.

I am a mom caring for eight kids and understand the need for us parents to get some time back. I was passionate about starting to make money from home with scalability. I wanted to create more time and income for my family and not fall behind on household responsibilities. Digital marketing offered me the opportunity to build my own brand, where I’ll be able to work from home. It will be a flexible opportunity, I can still be a mom.🙌

People don't wanna bet on themselves, they want the money right now, instead of investing the money to learn the skills so they could continue to make money. If you really want it, you have to invest in yourself.🔥

What’s your average day like right now?

The best part of my day is being able to set my schedule and having the ability to spend quality time with my family. There are no more rushed mornings. I can prepare all my kids for the day and then enjoy a workout. I have elementary school kids and middle schoolers, the bus picks them up, and I have a 4-year old who I take to daycare, so I can work and focus on building my brand.🎯

My mornings involve going through emails, replying to comments, and focusing on social media marketing. As a digital marketer, your main job is research and reviewing analytics. I sometimes create 2-3 videos daily or go live for 1-3 hours promoting my digital products and educating my audience on the benefits of getting started in a digital marketing-related field.

What have you been keeping busy with lately? What's been occupying your time?

Currently, I am in the process of creating a digital marketing course, I’m into digital products. I want to create semi-passive income online, I want to be able to help others. I usually go live Tuesday through Friday, 12 pm PT on TikTok. I educate individuals on how they can get started with selling digital products.💯

I have a digital product bundle that is beginner-friendly and that they can purchase from me. It has private label rights and they are able to resell it, just to get their foot in the door with digital marketing.

When I’m on live, I’m encouraging others, moms, burnout moms, dads who are stretched thin, to take action and get started with digital marketing because of the power behind it. I sell not only digital products but also physical products, just for us to get our time back.

As moms, we’re already stretched thin, we’re already trying to handle multiple household responsibilities, and having to go to a 9-5, and come back. Sometimes, there’s not enough time to fulfill our duties as moms, so that’s why I’m very passionate about helping others, other moms, get started with digital marketing.

What's the most money you made in one day, and how did you do it?

The most money I made in a day was $800. I knew that money was easy to make. You must set your goals, stay consistent, optimize what works, and throw out what doesn't.

I earn around $5,000 selling digital products per month, which fluctuates, some months are less, but I’ve definitely been able to make some money in digital marketing.🔥🔥🔥

It took me a couple of months, probably 3 to 4 months to be able to get there. I’ve been putting up a lot of videos consistently for almost a year and I’ve started selling digital products in the last 5 months. I was building up my following first on TikTok, so they knew who I was. So when I had a product, they just jumped on it.

What are the challenges you encountered when you started?

You get into this imposter syndrome where you think it’s not possible for you. You see these individuals who just started and have a big following, getting tremendous amount of success on social media, and you get discouraged.⚠️

At the beginning,  you try different strategies, and when they don’t work, you feel self-doubt and get discouraged. Mainly my mindset was my biggest challenge and overcoming that.

How did you overcome these obstacles?

It’s going to be challenging, but stay consistent and just keep going. It’s not easy, but it’s rewarding.

The instructors at the school were very nice and you can lean on them whenever you need to. A lot of mentors I listen to in podcasts, I indulge in a lot of different books on mindset and on different individuals in the digital marketing world, and I watched a lot of YouTube videos.📚

The number one mindset shift I have made to help with my success is to focus on progress rather than perfection. When starting something new, we tend to want things to be perfect and think we can begin once they are. No, just get started and learn as you grow. Stay consistent and watch how everything works out. I always do.👌

Focus on progress, instead of just being perfect.

What keeps you motivated during rough times?

Build a Community

Yeah, it definitely can be lonely. I encourage others to just stay active. When you start to get on social media and start to build your community, you willl find individuals that are doing the same things you are doing.

Connect with them, chat with them, email them, make friends with them. You build a lot of different friendships online, you build up a community of people where you relate with them and vibe with them.🤝

Take Breaks

I was kind of mentally drained this week. I feel like,

“I’m tired of this phone, I’m tired of scrolling on social media, I’m tired of looking at all these content.”😩

When this happens, I just have to take a moment to sit down, and reflect. There’s gonna be days like this and you got to take a break. Go and do something fun, go outside, go to the park.🍃

What’s the one thing you recommend beginners do today to get started in building their brand?

The first step is figuring out your niche.🎯 Where do they see themselves, what do they see themselves doing, what niche do they see themselves helping people? First, they identify what they want, list down what they’re passionate about. What can you do all day without getting tired of.

If you’re trying to build a brand and you don’t know where to start, just list what you’re passionate about and where you wanna go.

The next step is to start learning digital marketing skills.📣 That is the main thing. When you learn digital marketing skills, it doesn’t matter what you’re selling, because there’s an audience out there for it. With digital marketing, you don’t need to go out and find them. You set your stuff up, create content for them, and they find you.

What are the top tips and tricks you learned that helped you be your own boss?

🧰Learn the Skills

The best way for beginners to get started with digital marketing is to take a course. Take a course to learn basic digital marketing skills. When you complete the course and want to know more, start indulging in mentorship, different certifications, Masterminds, and one-on-one coaching to further your skills.

Once you learn a strategy, try to implement it so that you can understand everything about it. If you establish a full-on digital marketing strategy, you can skyrocket your business.🚀

📱Go Live

Livestream is just the best way to educating people of the benefits of the products that you have. Especially on TikTok, you get a lot of organic traffic, people jumping in and out of your life, following you. I encourage others to go live. A lot of people don’t know if they can trust you to buy from you, so the best way for them to learn who you are and your values is by going live.

📝Brain Dump

One of the top tricks I have learned is writing all my goals out. On Sunday nights, I like to do a brain dump and dump everything out on a notepad. This allows me to go through all the information so that I can schedule and prioritize the most critical tasks. I found that the more organized you are, the more productive you can become.

I like to use a planner and a journal to write things down. I usually set myself deadlines and goals I need to accomplish, and I monitor them to see where they at and be able to change it if I’m not gonna meet it.

I like to visualize it and cross things off in my to do list. Whatever doesn't get done, I add it to the next week. And I don’t fault myself or feel bad, I just continue to add things and keep pushing.💪

How about you? Are you ready to invest in yourself?
